10 p.m.: Everything to Lose
In 2009, Dana Clair Edwards was found dead in her home in the wealthy San Antonio enclave of Alamo Heights. Frustrated with the investigation, Edwards' mother, Deborah, took matters into her own hands and began taunting her daughter's alleged killer, Jon Thomas Ford.
Ford and Dana Clair had dated for two years, but were no longer a couple when she was killed. They were, however, at the same party where Dana Clair was last seen alive. Driven by intuition that Ford killed her daughter, Deborah began writing him, sometimes using her daughter's e-mail account. She peppered him with notes that read, "Mother's Day - Never the same," or one from Dana Clair's e-mail asking, "How long were you planning this murder?"
Ford hired famed defense attorney, Dick DeGuerin, who went into court facing three top San Antonio prosecutors, one of them a former DeGuerin law student. But could the prosecutors convince a jury Ford did it, despite lost evidence and mistakes in the investigation? Richard Schlesinger reports in an updated edition of "Everything to Lose," the second part of a "48 Hours" double feature.

    9 p.m.: Memory of Murder
Up first, Peter Van Sant returns to the murder of Peter Porco and the brutal ax attack on his wife, Joan. Porco was found bludgeoned to death in his home and his wife was found bleeding profusely and unable to speak. Police responding to the bloodbath asked Joan who attacked the couple. When they asked if it was her son, Christopher, she nodded 'yes'.
Christopher, however, told police he was at college, 200 miles away. Once Joan recovered, she said she didn't recall the nods that police took to implicate Christopher, and stood by her son. So who killed Peter Porco and severely maimed Joan?
